How does your dog keep cool? |
My German Shepherd/Husky mix likes to sit
on the kitchen
vents and swim in her baby pool. She's likes to splash, snorkel, and
try to dig

outside of my dad's cup. If she is really hot,

When my dog gets hot in the summer, she goes in the ice box,
and takes out some ice cubes, and eats them! She jumps in our swimming

My dog doesn't like to be hot. He lays under
the front porch
of our house. It's really dirty down there. Then we have to give him
a bath.

Our Golden Retrievers are Hannah and Trevor,
under one years old. They have their own large kiddie
pool filled with fresh water every day. They have a large
oak tree that shades their fenced area. They love to be
squirted with the water hose and chase the water drops in
the air. They get toys tossed into the water.

My dog, Snowball, stays in the house and
every once in a while we take him outside. We feed
him once a day.We make sure he has cool water. He
is only 2 months old. My Nanny has two Golden Retrievers
that are under one year old. A girl and a boy. She keeps
a large plastic kiddie pool with cool water in it. Their
fenced in area is shady. They love to be squirted with
the water hose. They retrieve even in the water the toys

by taking a ride in the car. We travel
on the highways.
Her fluffy black and beige hair blows

My girl dog, Cindy, stays cool by sitting or laying
down in the shade, however when I see her overheated
I simply wet the dog a little with cold water and I let her
run around a little when she's wet. I change her water
every two hours and give her some refreshing cold
refrigerated dog food at the end of the day. I let her in
the house near the air conditioner and that's what I do

I have 2 dogs. My
dog, Nilla, stays cool by laying
on the garage floor which is cement
and eating lots of
treats that she takes out of the box
in the garage.
My other dog, Coco, will just go to
sleep under our
trampoline. They both drink lots of

My dog's favorite activity is to lay on the air
conditioner at the vet's. Her other favorite activity is to lay
in the sun on warm days. When it is hot, we give her a
Popsicle to lick, she is so cute walking around with it

My Dog, Sarrie (a Border Collie/Black lab),
stays cool by swimming in our lake, and sleeping in
the shade. She swims with me side by side and also
chases after balls which we throw into the lake. She
jumps off the dock far out into the water to retrieve the
ball or me! Although Border Collies don't like water,
Sarrie loves water (the Lab Part). Although Sarrie does
have the herding instinct by retrieving me from the water.
Sarrie can dive and jump far off the dock. She can jump
really far into the water sometimes she splashes me on
purpose. Sarrie is and extremely smart two year old dog.

the cement floor
of my dad's workshop which is covered
in grease and oil.
When summer first they swim in a water
hole. By mid July
the weather is so hot that all the
waterholes are dry.
